Another gr-eight weekend for Under 13 Blues

Sunday 22nd October 2017

Royal Wootton Bassett Town Under 13 Blue's fantastic start to their North Wilts League Division Two campaign continued as they recorded a thumping 8-3 triumph at home against Wroughton Youth Blue.

They've now recorded five wins from their opening five league games and sit six points clear at the top of the table, though second place side Ashton Keynes Youth are also yet to drop a point.

Their game was only one of four to take place involving Bassett teams this weekend due to the half term holidays.

There was a second consecutive narrow defeat for the Under 13 Yellows who were edged out 1-0 by high-flying Liden Community. Three of their four league defeats so far this season have been by a single goal, and, after another battling display, no doubt a first win will soon be in the offing for them.

Elsewhere, the Under 18 Yellow and Under 16 Blue teams both suffered heavy defeats.

Joe Mitchell got a consolation goal for the elder of the two sides in their 8-1 loss away at Ashton Keynes. The Under 16 Blues, meanwhile, were beaten 8-0 by league leaders Shrivenham and Watchfield Royals White.
