Congratulations to Bryan Wood, who was appointed as the club's seventh Life Member at its Annual General Meeting last week.

Bryan has been a loyal member of the club for close to two decades, and the award is a fitting tribute to his service.

He initially joined as a player, featuring for the first team in midfield for a number of seasons, including its 1998-99 Wiltshire Senior Cup winning side as well as the team that won promotion to the Hellenic League Premier Division for the first time in the club's history a year later.

Following that, he served as assistant manager to Paul Burke for the reserve and first teams, stepping down from that role at the end of the 2007-08 campaign.

Bryan has also played a significant role in establishing the club's now thriving Ladies and Girls section. He headed up that Section for a number of years, while also coaching its girls teams.

He continues to serve as a coach for the Ladies team, contributing to their quick progression through the Gloucestershire County Women's League to the South West Women's League, where they will play for the first time in 2017-18, and will again serve on the club's Committee as its representative on the Royal Wootton Bassett Sports Association User Group team.
