Royal Wootton Bassett Town's Annual General Meeting was held at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground on Thursday 13th July.

The meeting saw reports presented by the club's Committee members from the 2016-17 season, outlining its current status before officers for the 2017-18 campaign were elected.

Mari Green was elected as the new Head of Youth Section, taking over from Pete Yeardley who will move to the Head of Senior Section position.

Mari, a languages teacher by profession, joined the club last season as Under 11 Girls manager and will be responsible for developing and implementing the club's youth strategy.

She will be assisted in the position by Simon Jones and Steve Chadwick, who will both perform vital operational duties.

Simon, a long-time player for both first and reserve teams, has served as a coach within the youth section for a number of seasons.

Steve, meanwhile, is new to the club, though has significant experience in local football, having previously managed Swindon Supermarine's Ladies team.
