Congratulations Jeremy Smith!

Congratulations to Under 9 Blues manager Jeremy Smith, who completed his six hundred mile bike ride from Royal Wootton Bassett to Santander in Spain on Wednesday!

Jeremy's journey took him from Bassett to Salisbury, before he travelled by ferry from Portsmouth to Caen. From there he travelled to Blain, Royal Wootton Bassett's twin town, before venturing down the west coast of France through La Rochelle, Rochefort, Cap Ferret, Bayonne and Biarritz among others before crossing the border into Spain. The final couple of days then saw him travel from San Sebastian to Bilbao and onto his final destination.

While tiring, Jeremy said he had a fantastic time, with a couple of tough days when it rained. He commented that it felt like he travelled more than 600 miles, having cycled from about 10am until 8.30pm every day!

In a hugely generous act, Jeremy was also using the ride to raise money for the club to purchase a barbecue for use at social events.

Many thanks go to those who have already made a donation.

You can still donate too, at the JustGiving page Jeremy set up.
