Applicants sought for Development team manager role

Royal Wootton Bassett Town are inviting applicants for the position of Development team manager ahead of the 2017-18 season.

The club is restructuring its senior section ahead of next season, with the aim of building greater links between its Development side in the Wiltshire League Premier Division and first team in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division.

The aim of the Development team is to provide quality training, education and match experience to all players, with the ultimate aim of providing a pathway through to first team football.

To that end, it is envisioned that the core of their squad will be made up of players aged under 23 with this complemented by a few more experienced players at the discretion of the first team manager.

The Development team are also expected to be competitive in all competitions in which they take part.

The Development team manager will be required to work in close cooperation with the first team manager and will be responsible for:

• Management of the Development team's fixtures
• Planning, preparing and delivering training sessions in cooperation with the first team management
• Providing weekly updates on player progress to the first team management

Applicants should, at a minimum, possess the FA Level 2 in Coaching Football qualification. Previous managerial experience is desired, though not necessary.
