Royal Wootton Bassett Town Football Club would like to extend its condolences to the family and friends of James Smith, who has sadly passed away following a short battle against cancer.

The son of Royal Wootton Bassett Cricket Club chairman Rod Smith and a keen cricketer himself, James also played for the football club, featuring for the Under 18s and Reserve teams.

A popular, friendly figure, he will be sorely missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with those close to him at this difficult time.
