Attack-minded midfielder Harvey Scholes has signed for Royal Wootton Bassett Town, joining the club from New College where he played for the past four seasons.

A player with good technical ability, Scholes is a signing Bassett boss Paul Braithwaite is excited about.

"Harvey's a player who feels he's ready to take the next stage in his football development and I'm extremely pleased to have him on board," he said.

"He's shown a great attitude and has travelled from Highworth, where he lives, to Bassett, for every training session so far except one, which was when he was on holiday. In that time he has worked very hard."

"His technical abilities are a reflection of New College's good work and we're looking forward to watching him develop further with Bassett."
